Speaking of Mississippi State:
And speaking of Starkville, The Boyfriend was in a wedding there at the Chapel of Memories on campus this weekend.
On my computer screen the photo below looks fine. So turn to your head to the right and pretend.
The couple left the reception just as the sun was setting in a 1959 pink Cadillac.
Speaking of colleges, and we were -- a few minutes ago, anyway -- my freshman year at Delta State University, I lived in Ward Hall, right behind this clock.
When we visited Natchez, we stopped a tacky souvenir shop. It was GREAT. I spotted this and got it for The Child.
I thought a bottle tree was the coolest white trash thing anyone could have in their yard. Until I saw that Coca-Cola can airplane, that is. The Child's face lit up when he saw it. I'm not sure who loves it more; me or him.
Each afternoon as I drive into Winona, I see this sign.
I wonder how long it's been there. I like it.
Know what? The Hitching Post, it is still open.
Know what else?
I live near the courthouse. Imagine this view from your morning window:
Sunday was a lovely day. We topped it off with a wonderful dinner. We sat outside for hours, even while remarking on how hot and humid it already was.

I didn't know until just now that I need a pink Cadillac.
How dare he disrespect the Colonel in that manner! He remains at the top of my to do list for revenge.
Color TV - I love it. When was the last time you saw a black & white TV? That's a trick question because I'm pretty sure there's one in our basement because I married the man who never throws anything away.
I'm with Mrs. G. and that pink cadilac. Somewhere there is a picture of me and the Cindys in front of Elvis's pink cadillac. It was the time the fans almost killed the Cindys and the Baboo saved my life. You and DBD have done Graceland, right?
And I do love my gift store cotton!
